Season Proof Your Car

You hear warnings to winter proof your car, but equally important is summer proofing your car. As much damage can happen from extreme heat as can happen in cold weather and snow. Here are some tips in protecting your car in summer, and making sure your battery is in ideal working shape.

If possible, keep your car parked in a cool or air conditioned area. This will help keep the oil, engine, and battery chemicals cooler. A cooler combination of these elements will help your battery work easier. When starting your car, be sure your air conditioner is off as are your radio, lights, and any devices plugged into the car. The battery is having a hard enough time starting in the heat. Once the car starts, all can be turned on.

Be sure to bring your vehicle in to do all the maintenance for summer proofing your car.
