What type of traction control is in the Mazda CX-9?

For many years, traction control was just a dream. Either your car stayed on the road, or it did not. The blame was always placed on the driver rather than road conditions. Once road conditions became a known factor, the rush was on to find how to counter road condition problems. However, the real advances in traction control came with the technology revolution.

The Mazda CX-9 has an optional traction control system called the i-ACTV AWD. The i-ACTIV all-wheel drive program is an intelligent predictive system that gains knowledge as your drive. The system stores your use of force on the steering wheel, your brake tendencies, and your typical steering adjustments. The program compares your typical driving traits to the current road conditions, including air temperature, humidity, tire pressures. and more.

At Piazza Mazda of Reading, we demonstrate the i-ACTV AWD system for you.
